There are many cases where low cost beam style flexible shaft couplings with a high degree of torsional stiffness is necessary. Budgetbeam couplings offer exactly these features in a single piece which offers the most efficient helical beam available anywhere. This completely new high performance coupling offers constant transmission of torque and zero backlash which is exceptionally reliable.
Budgetbeam couplings are the product of close to four decades of expertise in the design and manufacture of beam couplings. Featuring low radial bearing loads and very low inertia, these are flexible shaft couplings which have been designed from the ground up to provide high torsional stiffness via angular and axial movement, whether operating at low or high speeds. The couplings are made from anodized aluminum to ensure low inertia and can be found in configurations designed for use with integral clamp shafts or set screws. Four sizes are available, with sizes ranging between 3 and 12 millimeters.
Like all other Budgetbeam shaft couplings, this model is designed to compensate for parallel, angular and skewed offsets stemming from misaligned shafts. Ideal for use in resolvers, encoders, smaller electric motor axis drives and stepper motors, Budgetbeam's flexible shaft couplings are rated for use in applications requiring RPMs of up to 10,000.
The couplings are available at prices which make them competitive with any other similar products in the market, but with one important difference : they provide performance which makes them the equal of any competing model, including high cost alternatives. Manufactured in compliance with BS EN ISO9001:2000 quality standards, Budgetbeam shaft couplings are the ideal solution for engineers in search of low cost couplings with zero bidirectional backlash torque transmission; these are truly fit and forget flexible shaft couplings.
