Rod Seal For Light To Medium Hydraulic Applications

FTL Technology's Meridian type 0049/0050/0051 seals offer an effective and thoroughly reliable, coaxial two part piston rod seal system. The elastomeric outer portion of the seal provides radial sealing force, while the inner ring, manufactured from PTFE-glass fiber compound material or PTFE with bronze filler, serves as the seal's low friction dynamic surface. These composite seals are available in diameters ranging from 10 to 400 millimeters, with larger diameter models available upon request.
Meridian 0049/0050/0051 hydraulic seals are designed for light to medium duty hydraulic applications, especially those which call for low running friction and breakaway forces. Any of these models of rod seal with diameters of 25 millimeters or larger may be fit into either open or groove-style housings; SG bearing bushes may also be used with this series of seals.
U-Ring Rod Sealing
The Meridian type 0070 seal is an asymmetric u-ring style piston seal whose short inner lip is designed to provide increased performance in low pressure applications. Due to its durable abrasion resistant polyurethane elastomer material and the robust design of this rod seal, they are suitable for nearly every type of hydraulics application, from light duty to the most demanding heavy duty hydraulics. However, they should be used with caution in temperatures of higher than 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) when working with fluids having high water content. Type 0070 seals are available in diameters from 10 to 280 millimeters.
Meridian Veepack Piston Seals
FTL's Meridian type 0001/0002 seals are veepak seal sets for piston rods which offer compact sizes of 8 to 200 millimeters in diameter and exceptional performance in low pressure sealing applications. Made from fabric-reinforced elastomeric materials, the type 0001/0002 models of rod seal are ideal for medium duty hydraulics applications including presses, construction machinery and steel mill cylinders.
These seals are designed with durability and long service life in mind. They're capable of standing up to harsh operating environments and continue to provide reliable performance for a time even with poorer surfaces. They make suitable replacement seals for equipment including compression and injection molding machinery, scrap metal shearing and marine hydraulic systems, among their many other uses.
