S-Beam Load Cell Is Ideal For Small Scale Applications

The DBCR S-beam load cell range is at the low capacity end of the family of load cells from Applied Measurements with capacities from 10N to 500N where axial tension and compression measurement is required to high accuracies. The S-beam load cell range extends to 50,000N in their DBB types and to 300kN for their DBBSM load cells.
The DBCR S-beam load cells have wide application where small scale axial compressive and tensile forces need to be measured in laboratory, testing facilities and other industrial applications, for example with small suspended hoppers, where a slim, compact and accurate load cell is required.
Their doughnut profile set in the vertical plane and IP65 enclosure standard make these force transducers make them a natural choice in challenging environments. As with the rest of the range, they are designed not to be affected by non-axial forces.
Their safe overload of 150% and ultimate (instantaneous) overload of 200% of rated capacity combined with the ability to operate in temperatures between -20 deg C to +80 deg C makes them an excellent choice for the smaller dynamic monitoring applications under difficult conditions.
The DBCR series of S-beam load cell products are optimised to measure to high frequency dynamic loads. What is more, the DBCR series S-beam load cell like all other load cells supplied by Applied Measurements, can be provided to order especially rated and guaranteed for fatigue testing for 109 full cycles of compression and tension within their rated capacity.
The DBCR series load cell's standard range is supplied rated for a nominal 10V DC power supply but they will operate within 5 to 15V DC limits. The range has a high accuracy of measurement with impressive non-linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, symmetry and zero balance to give the confidence of results.
Applied Measurements provide a full measurement package that can include the high-speed analogue SGA amplifier to provide a certified standard for high confidence requirements. The load cell range has an industry-standard conditioned signal output of 4-20mA, ±5Vdc or ±10Vdc with a bandwidth of up to 6kHz. Other electronics available include the TR150 Handheld Digital Indicator, Intuitive2-L Panel-Mount Indicator, T24 Wireless Telemetry Range and DSC-USB USB Signal Digitiser.
The DBCR series compression load cell can be provided with a range of optional extras including load buttons, spherical rod end bearings as well as standard or special mounting bases. The axial threaded holes are supplied as standard as M6.
Applied Measurements often supply customises S-beam load cells as replacements for other manufacturer's load cells on existing equipment. In addition, the DBCR series can alternatively, be provided to a higher accuracy of measurement where requested.
All Applied Measurements Load cells come with a 3-year warranty and they can be supplied complete with monitoring/control electronics and calibrated as a system.
