AC Motor Drives Offer Superior Performance

Parker Hannifin announces the AC690+ series AC motor drives. This model offers a single range and has been created to meet the minimum requirements of the variable speed applications, through a very sophisticated integrated multiple drive system.

At the centre of the AC690+ there is a revolutionary 32 bit microprocessor that is standard component in this model. This allows for superior performance on a platform that has to ability to be combined with a host communicator and additional control options.

The AC690+ comes in a 380-500V 3-phase 0.75 to 1000kW and 220V-240V 0.75 to 55kW and there are three different modes available for operations:

Open-Loop Control:

This mode is perfect for handling the most basic motor speed controls, or multiple parallel motors. The setup menu is quick and contains a very plain language display that provides a trouble free setup.

Sensorless Vector Control:

With a high starting torque that has been mixed with tight speed regulations, this is a sophisticated model reference adaptive system (MRAS) for a motor control strategy. This allows for accurate speed simulation by a continuous method of modeling the motor.

Closed-Loop Vector Control:

By adding an encoder feedback technology box, a closed-loop flux vector level of performance can be achieved. It provides 100% full loads of standstill torque on a continuous basis while adding a high dynamic speed loop that can hit up to 45hz of bandwidth. This makes it more than sufficient for the needs of even the most demanding applications.
