One Fine Day in the middle of the night? Phil got up and decided that his writing skills he had picked up and honed over his long career, would fill a little creative writing niche whilst carrying on his day job as a very commercial multi-discipline Interim Project Manager and Chartered Engineer.
As a practical sort of guy with a natural engineering curiosity (an excess actually), Phil finds his vast store of hitherto ‘useless’ engineering knowledge very handy for article writing, blogging and editing. This engineering knowledge over a wide range of subjects was gained by ‘just getting the facts’ from his long suffering project engineers and consultant designers in his teams over the years.
Phil’s green credentials are exemplified by his involvement in community projects such as micro hydro-electric generation for his home village community, which will be used as a cash generator for other carbon footprint reduction projects for the community. He knows a lot about Archimedean Screw generators as well as Archimedean pumps!
Phil the Editor's Relaxation
The Engineer in Phil comes out in his passion for radio control model aircraft. When he is not acting as treasurer and webmaster for his local model flying club, he can be seen at the field doing his best not to crash his latest creation called a “Toot Sweet” stunt biplane. ”My slowing reflexes and the aftermath of a detached retina are to blame:” he says.
